U.S. Air Force: A Complete History

The Air Force Historical Foundation’s large-format book, U.S. Air Force: A Complete History, provides a chronological history from the early days of flight to the modern U.S. Air Force.

Created in preparation for the U.S. Air Force’s 60th anniversary celebration in 2007, this 600-plus page reference has 12 chapters with year-by-year data from 1783 to 2006.

Each chapter has an introductory dialog, followed by entries on milestones, developments and achievements tied to specific dates in aviation history.  The information is accompanied by photos, drawings and illustrations.
